The European Museum of the Year Award (EMYA) Conference and Awards Ceremony 2024 will take place in Portimão, Portugal, from Wednesday, May 1st, to Saturday, May 4th, 2024. Organized by the European Museum Forum (EMF) and hosted by the Municipality of Portimão, the Conference will bring together members of the EMYA community, including former candidates, winners, partners, and friends, alongside the EMYA2024 nominee museums.

For the past 47 years, EMF/EMYA has stood for promoting excellence in innovation and public quality in museum practice, demonstrating a steadfast commitment to citizenship, democracy, human rights, sustainability, and bridging cultures and social and political borders.
